People’s Food Coop’s baker Russel Kranes collaborated with Oh Dear Bakery’s Taylor Tinkham to create a lovely post Valentine’s day breakfast, starring a sweet, chocolatey dried cranberry and almond biscotti for all. Along with the biscotti, we had baked brown sugar oatmeal, topped with cherry compote, home made yogurt and honey, and walnuts, and, home made focaccia with soft scrambled eggs, pepper jack cheese, a dollop of marinara sauce, served with a side of fresh spinach salad. Both specials had an option of bacon or Biercamp breakfast sausage, and both were equally delectable and perfect for the holiday of love.
Thanks to Russell and Taylor for bringing the love and deelish to Selma this week, more thanks to all the volunteers who came out to help, both Thursday night and Friday morning, and to the nearly 200 guests who enjoyed the way yum factor.
