Keegan Rodgers, head baker at the Ann Arbor People’s Food Co-op led a group of enthusiastic chocolate lovers in the fascinating and delicious art of chocolate tasting, creating and utilizing in amazing recipes.
After tasting and discussing a variety of different chocolates from Casa Luker Chocolate from Columbia, Keegan taught us how to appropriately melt chocolate, and then we made early grey tea infused ganache, chocolate sauce, and, finally toasted almond and dried cherry candy bark.
Oh my, the kitchen aroma was devine, and the treats we made were out of this world. Everyone had a great time, learned a lot and went home with containers of luscious treats.
The PFC and Selma Cafe have plans for more classes featuring the smart, fun and entertaining Keegan Rodgers at the helm. How does another chocolate class, or maybe specialty baked goods sound? Let me know what you would like next.
