Thanks to Chris and his awesome crew for bringing us some toothsome and delicious eats for our most recent Selma Cafe breakfast party. We had two specials: luscious pulled pork confit served over sweet and rich buttermilk biscuits, topped with a couple of perfectly fried eggs, and, autumn vgetable hash featuring potatoes, onions, butternut squash and the last of the brussels sprouts from my front yard garden. Topped with a couple of fried eggs and toast, this was really tasty and satisfying. Both specials were served up with a mixed greens autumn salad with sliced apples, dried cranberries, provolone cheese and walnuts. House specials were pumpkin bread pudding topped with whipped cream, whole grain waffles with warm apple compote and, of course, vegan granola with fruit. There was an abundance of bacon, per usual.
Thanks to all the volunteers, along with the chefs, for coming out and taking care of everything. What a great group! And, thanks to all the guests, more than 160, who joined us and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Next up is the annual post Thanksgiving Coffee & Donuts party on Friday November 29 at my house. Come over anytime between 9a-11a to eat up some fabulous homemade donuts, classic and pumpkin, along with Roos Roast coffee and apple cider. Details HERE.

Finally, Saturday December 14 is the next Selma Cafe breakfast party. Save the date and come by to enjoy the amazing specials from El Harissa Market Cafe! Specials will have a N African influence, with both meat and vegetarian options.
